The Empire of Mer is the largest of the four Kingdoms; Joint ruled by the Twins Ro’mei and Vel’mei It’s people seem to thrive in the refurbished ruins of old. Any city in the Empire of Mer is something a scholar could get lost in for years of study. The past and the present seem to blend almost flawlessly as the people of the Empire keep old ways alive as well as blend new ways into their way of life.

However, their main export in that to do with the Forrest. The dense woods that cover the Empire is so thick and massive that parts of the the Empire have still not been explored. A single large tree from the forest can supply enough wood for a hundred houses (double that if the wood ends up going to the Flatlands). There are some groups sent out to explore the dense forest in order to look for ruins of old or to study the nature so the Empire can learn more about itself.

Slaves are a big part of the culture in the Empire. The upper class are judged how upper class they are by how many slaves they actually have. The lower class see slaves as some form of cheap labor they can ever only hope to afford, while some think that the slaves take the honest work from them. It is a viscous cycle, but one the Empire uses to it’s advantage.
